Welcome to the Restore the Circle Sponsorship! For $42 a month, you will provide compassionate support to families in Costa Rica and Honduras whose children are behind bars.

All children deserve a second chance. Yet many youth are detained for months or even years without being convicted of a crime. During this time, families are often separated, mothers are left without resources to visit their children, and young people are cut off from the love and support they need to heal and grow.

Restore the Circle is a monthly sponsorship program. For $42 a month, sponsors ensure families in Costa Rica and Honduras stay connected when a child is in detention.

When incarceration harms the family bond, Restore the Circle sponsors rebuild it — creating a pathway toward healing, dignity, and a hopeful future.

What does your sponsorship provide?

• Transportation for family visits
• Hygiene kits and clothing
• Educational workshops
• Mentoring and tutoring
• Special youth-centered events
• Re-entry support

Sponsors will have the opportunity to write a personal Mother’s Day card for a mother of a youth in detention. Sponsors will also receive messages and stories from parents, youth, and staff in the program.

You may choose to dedicate your sponsorship in honor of your mother, father, or another loved one.

All stories and messages are shared ethically and with consent. Sponsors are not matched one-to-one with individual children.
