Photography & Art Exhibits
These art and photography projects were created to show how teenagers and their families experience the justice system. They seek to break the stigma that dehumanizes children in jail that makes them invisible and abandoned.

Reflections of Dignity – 2025 World Congress
At the 5th World Congress on Justice With Children in Madrid, Spain, a version of REFLECTIONS OF DIGNITY was exhibited. This version of the exhibit included art from youth in justice systems from around the globe.
Reflejos de Dignidad – Mexico City
Self-portraits of incarcerated youth in Mexico City, this exhibit was created with the help of the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, Illinois USA.
Every Child Has a Story – Chihuahua City and Ciudad Juarez
A photography documentary of visiting day in the youth detention centers of Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua City. Families were reunited with their children after months of separate due to economic and social conditions, as well as the failures of the justice system.
Día de Visita – Mexico City
“Día de Visita” or Visiting Day, documents family life for teenagers locked up in pre-trial detention in Mexico. Satudays and Sundays parents can freely visit their children who have been arrested. Many also visit during the week if they can but some kids don’t receive any visitors because their parents can’t make the trip into the city, they don’t have any parents, or their parents don’t know they are locked up.
