Learn More About Restore the Circle

Welcome to the Restore the Circle Mother’s Day Sponsorship. For just $51, you can help reunite a mother or father with their child in Costa Rica or Honduras.

Prison walls hurt family bonds. As a Restore the Circle sponsor, you reconnect and strengthen families — restoring the circle of love.

All children deserve a second chance. Yet in many countries, youth can be detained for months or even years without being convicted of a crime. During this time, families are separated, parents often lack the resources to visit, and young people are cut off from the love and support they need to heal and grow.

This special Mother’s Day event will serve 235 youth across six detention centers in Central America. Mothers, fathers, and family members will gather for a meaningful day with their children — some seeing them for the first time in months.

For $51 per youth, each family will receive:

  • Transportation support for family visits
  • Hygiene kits and clothing
  • A hand-made Mother’s Day gift created by each youth

You will also have the opportunity to write a personalized Mother’s Day card for a mother of a youth in detention. Sponsors will receive messages and stories from parents, youth, and staff following the event.

You may dedicate your sponsorship in honor or memory of your mother, father, or another loved one — and we will send them a special Mother’s Day or Father’s Day card on your behalf.

Continue the Impact Year-Round

You can also join our year-round Restore the Circle sponsorship program. For $42 per month, sponsors provide ongoing support to families in Costa Rica and Honduras when a child is in detention.
