Refund Policy

Gifts

By making a charitable gift to Juvenile Justice Advocates International (JJAI), a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the donor understands that charitable donations are not refundable. Refunds will only be processed in the event of a mistake or an extreme circumstance if determined by JJAI. If the donor has entered into a Gift Agreement with JJAI a refund will only be issued if the JJAI Board of Directors determines that the terms of that agreement have not been honored. Individuals who receive refunds have the responsibility of correcting any tax filings they have made reflecting the refunded amount. JJAI will only consider donation refund requests if made within ninety (90) days of the original donation.

Event Registration

Refunds of registration fees will be given for cancellations received five business days prior to the event, unless otherwise stated. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. If the individual decides to not attend the event and would like the event cost to become a charitable contribution for tax purposes, the individual must notify JJAI in writing that they will not be attending the event and that they wish to contribute the event cost as a charitable contribution.
This policy does not apply to gifts made to any other affiliated entity, including Justicia Juvenil Internacional, México A.C.
