A long road to a long-awaited hug
At Sagrado Corazón de María, a mother traveled a long distance for the first time to visit her son. She cannot read or write, doesn’t have a cell phone, and communication from her community is difficult.
But neighbors stepped in. Messages were passed along, our team was able to connect with her, and together we made the visit possible.

At Jalteva, a father with kidney disease traveled with his wife to see his son after nearly three months apart.
That day also coincided with Lempira Day, allowing them to see their son participate in the activities and share a moment of pride.
